NetLink Trust chooses Amdocs to implement next gen B/OSS

NetLink Trust, Singapore’s nationwide telecoms infrastructure provider, has selected Amdocs to deliver a next-generation business and operations support system (B/OSS) to transform its legacy systems and fully automate order management, service design and delivery processes and service assurance.

Amdocs’ solution aims to accelerate delivery time for fibre connectivity and enable quicker fault repairs. The solution will also simplify the ordering experience for NetLink Trust’s customers – broadband service providers.

Amdocs will deliver a B/OSS that includes online portal, billing, order orchestration and service order management, workforce management and service assurance components. A web-based digital dashboard for managing orders and services will enable last-mile broadband service providers to better manage end users’ customer expectations. The solution, which includes maintenance and support services, will be delivered under a multi-year contract, whereby Amdocs will assume the role of solution provider, while also acting as prime systems integrator of third-party software and hardware.

“This is a very important project for NetLink Trust, since it encompasses the core IT functions that support the delivery of fibre connectivity for Singapore’s Next-Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (NGNBN),” said Garry Ng, the director of IT at NetLink Trust. “We aim to provide a robust and reliable fibre network to all end-users in Singapore, and with Amdocs’ solution, will be better able to meet this objective.”

Weiming Li, the vice president and customer business executive at Amdocs, added: “The underlying infrastructure of the NGNBN built and operated by NetLink Trust has radically transformed the info-communications landscape in Singapore. Our solution, which includes multiple third-party components, can be implemented within a year, enabling us to fully automate NetLink Trust’s service ordering and delivery process. This will allow NetLink Trust to achieve the service agility they need to quickly roll out fibre connectivity and reduce time to fulfil orders, thereby ensuring a better customer experience for broadband service providers and end-users.”
