Huawei wins five-year IT operation contract with Ooredoo Kuwait

Ooredoo Kuwait and Huawei have announced the signing of a ‘Future Mode of Operation (FMO)’ IT and Network Managed Services contract. Under the terms of the contract, Huawei will provide managed IT and network operations, network performance management and service quality improvement for Ooredoo Kuwait.

Huawei will provide an ICT Converged Operation solution to manage IT and telecom equipment through converged operation processes, resources and tools. The aim is to help Ooredoo Kuwait achieve digital transformation, operational excellence and to improve the customer experience.

“The FMO project is significant for Ooredoo,” said Prabjit Singh Panesar, the deputy CTO and director of service Aassurance at Ooredoo Kuwait. “It will accelerate the speed of our response to the market, improve network performance and quality of service, and enhance the end-user experience. We are pleased to be working with Huawei as their products and service capabilities in the IT and telecommunications fields will help us achieve ICT transformation.”

Dr. Howard Liang, the senior vice president and president of Global Technical Services at Huawei, added: “For us, Huawei’s ICT infrastructure transformation service has been one of the company’s key strategic investments, which will strengthen our position as a strategic partner for operators. It is an honour for Huawei to be selected as the FMO project supplier for Ooredoo Kuwait. The cooperation between Ooredoo and Huawei now extends from purely CT to encompass IT, and we are committed to delivering the ICT converged operation Ooredoo Kuwait needs to achieve operational excellence and digital transformation.”
