Next Communications selects Telarix for voice traffic management

Next Communications has chosen Telarix products to help automate the management of its international voice and video traffic operation.

Telarix’s iXTools SaaS is a fully hosted and managed interconnect business optimisation and settlement service which enables communications service providers (CSPs) to reduce costs and increase profitability across their interconnect networks. Telarix’s iXLink, a business exchange with over 4,000 carriers electronically exchanging over 50,000 documents monthly, provides real-time insight, stopping revenue leakage and allowing profit management. Next Communications joins Telarix’s growing customer base from continents all over the world.

Telarix, through iXTools and iXLink, will provide Next Communications a real-time view of voice traffic on its network, enabling Next to ensure that its customers continue to receive the highest quality voice service with accurate billing across different countries.

Next will also be utilising Avyda, a turnkey solution that includes a Cisco session border controller, media steering, transcoder and high definition video which seeks to eliminate some of the key challenges facing network operators in monetising their networks to deliver video calls. Avyda creates CDRs for video calls ensuring payment can be made, ensures quality is not sacrificed while allowing connection through 3G and iPV6 and is an open platform allowing multiple endpoints to be used including Android to iOS. AVYDA was brought to market through partnership with NxtGn and Cisco.
