Telenor Denmark agrees field services deal with Ericsson

Telenor Denmark has signed a field services contract with Ericsson. Under the terms of the contract, which will replace a previous three-year agreement from 2011, Ericsson will deliver corrective maintenance services for Telenor Denmark’s nationwide fixed and transmission networks.

Delivery of preventive and corrective maintenance services are also included on the part of the shared mobile network that Telenor Denmark operates – more than half of the operator’s sites in the western part of Denmark. The shared network is the largest in Denmark and serves 3.5 million subscribers. Telenor Denmark will also benefit from a new catalogue of service packages, which are designed to enable continuous improvement of network service quality and operational efficiency.

Kim Krogh Andersen, the head of network at Telenor Denmark, said: “Ericsson is an important partner for us, and continuing our cooperation in field services very much contributes to keeping our network position. Ericsson has shown that they want to be part of our service strategy and part of Denmark’s strongest network. It is key for us to be working with global, innovative vendors such as Ericsson.”

Jørgen Alsing, the country manager in Ericsson Denmark, added: “In a very competitive, connected world, a network with superior performance is one of the key differentiators and a strategic asset for operators. Thanks to the tight integration between Telenor Operations and Ericsson’s local field services organisation, we have improved efficiency and ways of working. By saving time and resources, Telenor Denmark will be able to focus even more on providing innovative solutions for their customers.”
