Telkomsel selects Ericsson for OSS transformation

Ericsson has been selected by Indonesian CSP Telkomsel for a comprehensive OSS transformation that will help Telkomsel meet new customer demands and efficiently manage rapid network growth.

Paulus Djatmiko, the vice president of network operation management at Telkomsel, said: “As we grow our network to address fast-evolving mobile trends and capture new opportunities, it is imperative that we move with speed and efficiency. Our latest work with Ericsson ensures that as we expand, we remain nimble with the support of solutions that give us the best flexibility and control in delivering the excellent service our customers expect.”

Ericsson’s Consulting and Systems Integration will play a key role in the transformation planning and consolidation of Telkomsel’s network operations centre. Ericsson will provide the latest OSS solutions for fault and configuration management, service fulfillment and service quality management. Ericsson Granite Inventory, Ericsson Discovery and Reconciliation and Ericsson Experience Manager are to replace the systems previously used by Telkomsel.

Elisabetta Romano, the vice president and head of OSS and service enablement, Business Unit Support Solutions at Ericsson, added: “Telkomsel is squarely focused on achieving the agility it needs to take a major leap forward, all in the name of better service quality and improved customer experiences. We are proud to further strengthen our longstanding relationship and serve as a key partner for Telkomsel through this transformation.”
